Today the fact that the elite of the national arts community are in attendance only proves this point.

(Editor’s note: Miss Li actually says more but because we could not translate it adequately two of her lines at the end have been removed. However she speaks further about how she has learned to sing by the guidance of teachers and to find her own voice.)
June 11, actress Bingbing Li will be releasing her first solo album. This reporter learned yesterday that the album is to be released by the end of June while Miss Li was shooting album’s title song “The Love of his Life” at MV Studios. Bingbing Li was wearing a white gown at the time and looked like an angel surrounded by a beautiful screen and hundreds of lit meditation candles.
“The love of his life” is by Shixiong Lin Jun Jie. This is a personal love theme song created by MV from Taiwan and directed by the famous director Lam Kam; the design is also by Jiang Yipeng from Taiwan. Bingbing Li said, “I like Mr Lam’s and the MV shooting style and the melody created by Lin Jun Jie Shi Xiong Qimei is also like Korean dramas.
For Bingbing Li to make “The love of his life” is a lot of hard work. To capture the most beautiful lighting conditions Bingbing Li and the MV crew members had to get up at 5:00 am for the 7:00 am shoot. In the studio, the director also invited a string ensemble along with a pianist to the set as Miss Li’s accompaniment.
With regard to the expectations of the new album, Bingbing said, “This is his life in the first album, the feelings are not the same, I do feel like this album is also a learning process.”
The Knot was directed by Yin Li and stars Chen Kun Li Bingbing and Vivian Hsu. It opened in mainland China, Taiwan, and hongkong movie theatres in December 2006. The following is the synopsis found on Internet Movie Database:
Chen Xiushui is an English teacher in Taiwan. The boy he tutors has a sister, Wang Biyun. They fall in love. But he’s a leftist and leaves Taiwan to fight for a new China. They make a pledge to see each other one day. On the mainland Chen Xiushui is active in the Korean War as a doctor and a soldier and later in rebuilding the country, working in Tibet. He changes his name to Xu Xiuyun. A woman by the name Wang Jindi, also a soldier, falls in love with him, but he is still thinking of Wang Biyun. Wang Jindi sees he will never forget Wang Biyun, so she changes her name to Wang Biyun herself. After quite some time, they get married, but it’s all still very painful for both of them. In the meantime, the real Wang Biyun is still in Taiwan, waiting and trying to find out what had happened to Chen Xiushui. One day, while crossing the mountains, an avalanche kills Chen Xiushui. We follow the story in retrospective, as the real Wang Biyun now (60 years later) lives in New York and has sent her adopted daughter to Tibet, to find out what exactly happened to Chen Xiushui.
There are 31 new Bingbing Li photos now uploaded to the Publicity Album. These shots were taken from Picasaweb.google.com, and date back to a January 2008 promotion of Bingbing Li’s new movie, Linger (2008).
In this video clip from The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), Bingbing Li as the white haired witch/bounty hunter, Ni Chang, squares off in the final battle against Jackie Chan as the Drunken Immortal. Not the full battle, but pretty entertaining.
A cool clip of Li Bingbing and Liu Yifei fighting from The Forbidden Kingdom (2008). It seems whenever there’s a few strong women in a martial arts film it is obligatory that they face off if one is good and the other one is bad. This film is no exception (not that we mind…)
Although Bingbing Li is not featured as prominently in this Behind the Scenes look at The Forbidden Kingdom (2008) it is still interesting to not that Miss Li was not dubbed but in fact did all her lines which she learned phonetically. Pretty impressive!
For those people who may not have seen the movie (yet), The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), is one martial art film worth watching. Starring Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Liu Yifei and (of course) Bingbing Li, it is one martial art film that has done well both in the United States as well as abroad. Due to its success the producers plan to move forward with a sequel where the relationship between Bingbing Li’s character, Ni Chang, and Jet Li’s character are in a relationship. Not much more is known about this sequel at this time.
If you have seen The Forbidden Kingdom/King of Kung-Fu (2008) then you will probably be pretty amused by this earlier action flick, Silver Hawk (2004), which is a comic book-type superhero. Bingbing Li plays Jane, one of the thugs. When compared with the Jet Li/Jackie Chan film we can see that Bingbing Li has come a long way in a very short time.
